Our Story
Established in 2012 by owners John and Bonnie Dean, Valley Green Foods was created as a K-12 specialty distributor to serve the PA, NJ and DE markets. In conjunction with their other company Barry Foods, a 3rd generation K-12 food brokerage, Valley Green Foods has created a unique business model that handles the distribution of opportunity deals, commodity processed items, over runs and VGF manufactured and co-packed products.

Every day, leading food manufacturers across the country produce high quality items as overruns or that don’t meet spec.  With more than 30 years dealing in these secondary markets, the Valley Green Foods Sales team leverages our relationships and expertise to find the right item for you at a budget friendly price.



Not every opportunity deal is created equal. Whether it’s irregularities in size or the color of breading on a chicken tender, seeing a product first-hand is invaluable. At Valley Green Foods, our team brings in and taste tests every item we offer. This hands on philosophy allows us to identify not only the best products available, but the ones that will fit your specific needs.
